SAD NEWS - MIKE PERRY
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Mike Perry sadly passed away on Saturday 27th December 2025 at the age of 91 years.
Mike played Table Tennis for many clubs, his last season was 2021/22 for Astor.
The funeral service will be held at The Park Crematorium (Room 1), Merafield Road , Plympton PL7 1UG on Thursday 15th January 2026 at 11:00am.
Our deepest condolences to his family at this time.

SAD NEWS - BRUCE DAMERELL
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Bruce Damerell sadly passed away on the 2nd December 2025 at the age of 83 years.
Bruce played Table Tennis for Trelawney and his last club was Woodland Fort in season 2020/21.
The funeral service will be held at St Boniface Church, St Budeaux on Friday 2nd January 2026 at 11:00am. Followed by cremation at The Park Crematorium (Room 2), PL7 1QU and all are welcome. Black attire optional.

SAD NEWS - MARGERY HOCKADAY
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Margery Hockaday has sadly passed away.
Margery played Table Tennis in the league during 1950/60/70/80s. Her last club was Electricity with John Norsworthy and Ken Simpson.
She was also the Cornish Champion on may occasions in the Ladies Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
Sadly she passed away one day before her 96th birthday.
Our deepest condolences to her family at this time.

SAD NEWS - ADRIAN OSBORNE
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Adrian Osborne (9th November 1970 - 11th December 2025) has sadly passed away.
Adrian used to play table tennis up until a few years ago and will be missed.
The funeral will be held at The Park Crematorium (Room 1), PL7 1QU on 29th December 2025 at 10am and all are welcome.
Those attending are asked to wear black with the optional hint of red being Adrian's favourite colour.

SAD NEWS - IVOR ANSTIS
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that Ivor Anstis, who played for over 60 years in the Plymouth League for Woodland Fort has passed away. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease several months ago but passed away very suddenly on 24th September. We know it’s usual protocol to acknowledge the passing of our table tennis colleagues especially those who have had long playing careers in the league.
Funeral arrangements are Friday 17th October at 11am at the new Plymouth Crematorium at The Park, 205 Merafield Road, Plympton, PL7 1UQ, for those who may wish to pay their respects.

SAD NEWS - ROGER TROUT (Updated 24/07/25)
It is with much sadness that we have to announce that Roger Trout, former League Table Tennis player passed away on the 8th July 2025. Roger will be remembered as a true Gentleman and Sportsman. His Table Tennis competitive career spanned nearly 40 years. Roger played for a number of Clubs, including St Edwards, Pilgrims and the Wessex Table Tennis Club. He will be sadly missed.
Funeral Service will take place on Friday 1st August 2025 at Eggbuckland Church starting at 1pm. This will be a traditional service (black and white attire).
Donations will be gratefully accepted for the benefit of St Luke's and Marie Curie.
A celebration of Roger's life will be at the Prince Maurice, Eggbuckland.
