A Senior 1 star ratings tournament will be held on Sunday 16th March, 2025 at Joola Plymouth, Eggbuckland Community College, Plymouth.

MONDAY PRACTICE SESSION - CHANGE OF OPENING TIMES

CHANGE OF TEAM NAME/STRUCTURE - DIVISION THREE

The Executive Committee have approved that Astor C are now known as Shopfitting by SWS E. There are no changes to the fixture days/date.

NEW SEASON AGREED

The new season format was unanimously approved by all members attending the AGM on Friday 26/07/24. The format will be the same as last season.

This website is now under construction to add all the relevant information.

Each player will be emailed their fixture list for Phase One as soon as possible.

The season will Start w/c 16/09/24.

SAD NEWS - GERRY ELLIOTT

Sadly, Gerry passed away on Saturday 13th July 2024 - Our thoughts are with his family at this time.

Funeral: Wednesday 31st July 2024 at Bodmin Crematorium (Sorry the time is unknown).

SAD NEWS - DAVE GREEN

Dave GREEN sadly passed away on 31 May aged 87. 

Dave played for Plymouth Amateur Rowing Club, Middletons, Plymouth Co-op and Inter City during and after the 1990’s.

Funeral: Tuesday 18th June 2024 at 11.30am at Weston Mill Crematorium.

SAD NEWS - LEN GRIFFITHS

Len GRIFFITHS sadly passed away aged 98 years. 

Len started playing TT after the 2nd world war in 1947 until 2007 when he had an accident with his shoulder. Len played for many teams in the league with YMCA (Div One), Farringdon (St Jude's), Trelawney and finally Woodland Fort for over 20 years. Len would have been 99 years old next month.

Funeral: Tuesday 23rd April 2024 at 13:15hours at Efford Crematorium. Family Flowers Only. Donations to Diabetes UK in lieu of flowers if so desired. Black attire not essential. 

Afterwards: The Players Lounge, Plymouth Argyle Football Club. For catering purposes it would be helpful to know the likely numbers of attendees together with any dietary requirements - please contact Ian Lindsay 07456736404

PHASE 3 FIXTURES ADDED

Phase 3 fixtures added and all players have been emailed with their new set of fixtures.

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR CLOSED PERIODS

The club will be CLOSED for all practice between 23rd December 2023 and 3rd January 2024. 

Practice will resume as normal from Thursday 4th January 2024

SAD NEW - ANDREW COURTNEY

Andrew COURTNEY passed away after losing his battle with cancer on Sunday 30th July 2023, aged 66 years. 

Andrew played for Chaddlewood for a few years. 

Funeral will be at Torquay Crematorium on Monday 21st August at 12.40.

WEEKLY PRACTICE FOR LEAGUE PLAYERS

There is a weekly practice session from 6pm to 9pm for league or ex-league players ONLY every Wednesday at HQ until the season starts w/c  11/09/2023.

SAD NEW - BRIAN ROGERS

Brian ROGER passed away suddenly at home on Monday 10th July 2023, aged 85 years. 

Brian was a Life Vice President of our club and did a lot of work at HQ.

Funeral service to take place at Holbeton Church on Monday 31st July at 1pm, followed by burial. Refreshments, after the service, will be at The Mildmay Colours Inn. Family flowers only.
